Existence is Resistance 2

A typographic poster based on the organisation Existence is Resistance. This piece was created in response to the 2023 Google D&AD brief, of leading the way through type-led activism. This is a juxtaposition as the tagline itself speaks about the fact that the Palestinians are still around is an act of defiance to Israel and not necessarily that weapons are an issue, although the Palestinians have a legal right to armed struggle under the UN’s Right to Resist (a right to self-determination arises in situations of colonial domination, foreign occupation, and racist regimes that deny a segment of the population political participation. According to international law, states may not use force against the lawful exercise of self-determination, while those seeking self-determination may use military force if there is no other way to achieve their goals).
